Our philosophy for hardwood flooring selection is simple – “What you want is what you get”. For a walnut look we use real walnut. For very light floors we recommend maple, ash, bamboo, or oak and finish it with no stain added. Should you want a red cast to your floor we’ll use Brazilian Cherry, American Cherry, African Padauk, or another hardwood that offers rich red tones. By using exotic woods with little or no colored stain, the unique grain of the particular hardwood species is allowed to show through. This is also true for select factory finished material.
